I’m married to a builder. So for the last ten years, dinner conversations at our kitchen table inevitably turned to the same topic: What a set of drawings says should be happening versus what’s actually happening on the jobsite. And how challenging it is to mesh those two, without delay, without confusion.
Solving that challenge is why OpenSpace exists. It’s what excites me about working here. And it’s the reason we’re bringing customers together for our annual virtual summit: Waypoint.
Documents, reports, spreadsheets—there’s a better way
A member of our Customer Advisory Board, and ENR #32 firm, said something recently that stuck with me:
“We’ve gotten farther away from understanding the jobsite with all this documentation.”
They’re right. A lot of construction tech adds more virtual paper: more documents, more spreadsheets. Information that’s stale as soon as it hits your inbox. OpenSpace was built to do the opposite. We make sure teams are working from the truth of what’s happening on-site, not another report about it.

Building for you since day 1
Honestly, we’ve been building toward this year’s Waypoint since 2017.
We started with a simple premise: make sure builders always have a picture of everything on their project, at every stage. That foundation of reality data—imagery located in space and time—has been the core of everything we’ve built since.
As the industry changed, we grew with it. We added BIM and coordination tools, integrated progress tracking, and brought drone imagery into the platform. By the end of last year, we formalized that evolution when we announced the Visual Intelligence Platform.
Earlier this year, we made the smartphone the default way to capture issues and observations in the field. We launched AI Voice Notes and groundbreaking AI Autolocation that make logging and tracking faster and easier—and directly connected to your systems of record.
