The challenge
The Mason Clinic project required comprehensive visual as-built models, asset data and physical asset stickers in place as part of the project deliverables. The client requested this information for their facility and asset management system. Without a proper tracking and accountability system in place, the team previously relied on manually capturing pictures and creating reports with them, a process that lacked efficiency and transparency.

This time saving has been made across the whole construction management and sub-contractor team, of more than 20 people. At Mason Clinic there are more than 5,000 assets to be captured and reported. The previous approach was manual and could take weeks of effort to complete accurately. With OpenSpace 90% of this effort has been automated with the ability to reconcile, check and report on assets with ease.
Using OpenSpace has also proven to be invaluable in reducing destructive investigations and resolving sequencing issues that could have delayed the Mason Clinic project.
