OpenSpace Launches Local Server in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Company’s 360° Reality Capture Platform Now Available Globally With Servers in Nine Geographical Regions

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – March 30th, 2023 – OpenSpace, the global leader in 360° reality capture and AI-powered analytics for developers and contractors with projects of all shapes and sizes, today announced the launch of its Local Server in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), a new addition to its local servers portfolio that offers multi-cloud and multi-region support. The server will be generally available as of today, March 30th, 2023.

With the KSA region launch, OpenSpace is expanding its global footprint, enabling customers to store data from their construction projects at data centers located locally in the region. This puts OpenSpace customers in the position to take advantage of the best performance while complying with local data regulations.

OpenSpace now spans nine regions around the world where local builders and government organizations can access OpenSpace in their local region. OpenSpace data located in the Middle East is hosted by Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), offering advanced and secure technology infrastructure that scales OpenSpace to new servers around the world.

“We are excited to launch the KSA Local Server and expand our multi-cloud and multi-region support with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure,” said Sam Badrah, Regional Sales Director at OpenSpace. “We understand the importance of data security, compliance, and performance, which is why we are committed to providing our customers with the ability to store data locally.”

The KSA Local Server is designed to meet the needs of customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region, where data sovereignty and compliance are critical concerns. With the new server, customers can store their data locally, ensuring compliance with the local Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

OpenSpace’s KSA Local Server also provides a secure and reliable platform for collaboration, enabling teams to work together seamlessly regardless of their location. The Saudi Arabian construction market is expected to witness significant growth due to its Vision 2030. To meet this growth, architectural and engineering teams are often spread across the globe working on projects thousands of kilometers away. Physically visiting the construction site takes time and can be costly. With OpenSpace the whole project team can meet and make decisions by reviewing the construction site online and over time—without requiring an in-person visit. The KSA Server offers enterprise-level security, ensuring that customer data is protected at all times. This modern and secure way of collaborating on construction projects speeds project delivery, cuts budget overruns due to rework and change orders, and allows developers to better control risk.
