Khansaheb Civil Engineering awarded for its digital strategy including OpenSpace
Khansaheb Civil Engineering is a leading construction company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Founded in 1935, the company has been on a digitalisation journey for the past decade to build faster, strengthen team coordination, and improve the quality of its builds.
The company has since moved its business 100% to the cloud, adopting Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as its core construction software and leveraging its integration with OpenSpace for 360 reality capture. Their digital construction setup has recently been awarded the Middle East Digital Construction Award in the category ‘Digital Construction Innovation of the Year’.
According to the team at Khansaheb, the integration of these tools has resulted in substantial time savings, reduced errors, and improved decision-making. OpenSpace in particular has been leveraged to increase transparency and reduce risk. “You can take 1000 photos of a site manually, and I guarantee that the one photo you need to mitigate a claim will not be there. That’s where OpenSpace is the perfect solution, it captures the whole site thoroughly with amazing speed, organizes the images without any extra effort and stores the images in an easily navigable setup for later use when needed”, says Derek Bourke, Digital Construction Manager at Khansaheb.
