OpenSpace team from The Netherlands

In today’s fast-paced world, the concept of a workplace has undergone a remarkable transformation, and it’s more important than ever to be intentional about cultivating a corporate culture. With teams spread across the globe, the power of technology has brought us closer than ever before, transcending physical boundaries and time zones.

At OpenSpace, we’ve not only embraced this shift but have also elevated it to an art form. Our recent series of team-building events held across the globe stands as a testament to OpenSpace’s commitment to collaboration, trust, and fun in a remote-first environment and the values underpinning our company’s culture.

Collaboration: the heartbeat of innovation

Collaboration is the cornerstone of success for any organization. It’s the fuel that ignites innovation and drives breakthrough ideas. Our get-together provided a unique platform for our Dutch team to engage, share insights, and co-create with remote counterparts. Our events always result in the magic that happens when diverse minds collaborate and bridge geographical gaps (even in a small country) to create something extraordinary.

Trust: the glue that binds

Trust is the currency of remote work. It’s what allows us to seamlessly coordinate efforts, make decisions, and drive results, even when miles apart. Trust was not only celebrated but reinforced through this event, and our gathering was a reminder that distance is no obstacle to building strong relationships.

Fun: the catalyst for connection

As we reflect on our event, it is evident that OpenSpace is not just a company; it’s a community that thrives on collaboration, trust, and fun. Indeed, while work is our shared purpose, injecting a big dose of fun into our interactions is the secret ingredient that transforms colleagues into friends. Laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences are what truly bring a team together. Our get-together provided a great setting for fun and underscored the importance of fostering connections beyond the confines of targets and deadlines.

In an age where remote work is redefining the way we operate, we’ve embraced the challenge and turned it into an opportunity. Even beyond The Netherlands, we’re building a global OpenSpace family that believes in the power of coming together, regardless of the miles that separate us.

So, here’s to the future of work, where collaboration knows no boundaries, trust knows no distance, and fun knows no limits. Our team gathering represents more than a simple event; it’s the embodiment of a vision that guides us and serves as a reminder that even in a digital world, the human touch is what truly matters.

If you’re looking to build something you can be proud of with a group of people who will challenge you to perform—and you want to have a little fun along the way—hear how our co-founders built OpenSpace and then take a look at our open positions.
