Checklist templates

Standardize your inspections by creating checklist templates with your questions—customized for your projects and the way you work. You can create checklists at the project level and company wide level for easy distribution.

Assign, organize, and export checklists

Ensure checklists get done by assigning them to the appropriate team members. You can organize checklists by zones, sheets, and status. If needed, you can export checklists as CSV/PDF files to use on-site or in another application.

Mobile inspections

While walking the job, easily inspect completed work and keep track of deficiencies by going through checklists—no Wi-Fi or data connection needed. Once completed a checklist can be signed off and submitted.

Remote inspections

Perform inspections without having to go to the jobsite. By viewing captures in OpenSpace, you can run through checklists, call out deficiencies, and submit when completed. If an inspection was started on-site, pick up right where you left off and finish filling out the checklist from your computer.

Checklist history log

See an audit trail of user activity to understand what changes were made to any checklist item and by who.

Track issues easily

With OpenSpace Check+, you can easily manage your issues with bulk updates and integrations and keep everyone up to date with alerts and reports.

Field Notes Explorer and history log

As you complete more checklists and create more Field Notes, our bulk editing feature in OpenSpace Check+ makes it quick and easy to manage your notes. Simply navigate to Field Notes Explorer on your project to select, edit, and change the status of multiple notes at once. You can also audit your Field Notes to see who made updates and when—helpful should you need to investigate something that happened in the past.

Alerts and reports

When you assign a Field Note to let someone know they have work to do, the assignee receives email and mobile alerts at each step in the process. If you need to update owners, subs, or anyone, it’s quick to export and share a selection of Field Notes in a nicely packaged PDF.

Integrations with the tools you use

Save time and simplify your tasks even more with our Field Notes integrations with Procore, BIM 360, Autodesk Build. After you document deficiencies in Field Notes during an inspection, send those notes to your system of record as Issues, Observations, or Tasks, skipping the double entry.

Document issues clearly and efficiently

Record notes to clearly define all issues—organized, tagged, and assigned with images right there to clearly communicate the work that needs to get done. Enrich your notes as much as you want, depending on what you need to communicate.

Field Notes

Track issues anywhere, any time with the Field Notes feature. Add a note while taking a 360° capture, with images from your mobile device, or from your desktop. Field Notes organizes 2D images and comments in OpenSpace, mapped to the floor plan and in the context of the construction project so they’re easy to find and share.

Files and annotation

When you’re creating Field Notes, you can attach files like shop drawings and submittals. Mark up a photo with text, shapes, and more to better explain and call attention to an issue or comment. As you communicate with the team with Field Notes, your comments are time-stamped.

Tags, status, due dates, and assignee

For smart searching and reporting, label your Field Notes with tags defined by you (e.g., Drywall and HVAC). Meet deadlines by assigning an individual responsible for the Field Note, setting a priority level, and adding a due date. Plus, you can define Zones on your floor plans to categorize (and later find) Field Notes by room, area, or phase of work—OpenSpace automatically tags your notes in their corresponding Zones.
